Des, you may not have been my biological father but you cared and supported me as any father would.

I have so many great memories.  You and Audrey  took me in when I was a teenager and kept me on the straight and narrow through what could have been a difficult period of my life.

In later life we discussed many things, particularly golf and I will remember  our one and only golf game for ever . I wish there could have been more but it wasn't to be.

You have been a  father, an uncle and a friend to me and I will always be thankful for the support you gave me.  I will look back at the times we spent together with great fondness. Memories last forever.
